Bought this motherboard thinking it was just missing the cpu bracket, was untested. Turns out the socket was open and had to attach a new sliding portion of the socket to get the cpu into place. upon testing, the motherboard receives power, the chip gets hot, and fans all spin. the POST check illuminates at CPU light, then disappears but doesn't move on to continue the check. it's likely I did a poor job in my switch of the socket component, but the socket itself was not damaged my me. I can even throw in the spare cpu socket I purchased for my little swap out.
